The West Nipissing Cycle for Charity  started in 2016 and grew out of our passion for cycling, the desire to promote healthy living and to give to those in need.  The West Nipissing Cycle for Charity is an annual event and all proceeds  go to buying bikes for youth. 

  • October of 2016 held the first West Nipissing Cycle for Charity event.  $4,330.00 raised, 96 cyclists and 16 volunteers participated in this first FUN BIKE RIDE event  

  • June 4 2017 raised $6,404.00; 152 cyclists, 18 volunteers

  • June 3 2018 raised $8,567.00; 192 cyclists, 19 volunteers

  • June 2 2019 raised $9,445.00.00;  183 cyclists,  21 volunteers
  • June 7 2020........CANCELLED

Proceeds go to BIKES FOR YOUTH.  This project, in conjunction with the West Nipissing Commmunity Health Centre, gives bikes, helmets and locks to  youth in need. 

Come and see the latest in cycling technology.

A representative will be on site to demonstrate Specialized E-bikes. 

This fun ride consists of the choice of four distances:

 

25 kilometers (view map)

25 kilometers is a leisure ride it starts at the Sturgeon Falls Caisse Populaire up King Street turn left on John Street towards to Drive in Road onto Cache Bay Road cross Hyw 17 to Levac Rd to Leclair Rd to Hyw 64 to the Lavigne Tavern in Lavigne – the proposed Voyageur Cycling Route through our Community, a Northeastern Ontario Initiative through Discover Routes Trails Organization.

 

A shuttle will return you and your bike to Sturgeon Falls.

 

50 kilometers (view map)

50 kilometers, for those who are up to it, follows the same route as the 25 kilometer run with return to Sturgeon Falls using the same route.

 

100 kilometers (view map)

 

100 kilometers for those of you are experienced riders. Same departure and route however you pass Lavigne and go to North Monetville on your return you stop off at the Tavern for lunch.

Cost is $40 

Ten ($10) for children accompanying a registered parent ( to cover the cost of the lunch ).

 

Your entry fee will cover your registration, water,snack and lunch.

 

Register before MAY 30th 2020 to receive your free gift. 

 

We will ride rain or shine, so plan to get into the saddle and come and participate for a great cause. We will guarantee a fun time with great people. 

 

Helmets are COMPULSORY! / Le port de casque protecteur est obligatoire!
